Why freezers lead
A freezer fault is rarely one part. Frost that returns after every defrost can be a seal, a drain, a heater or the sensor that tells the heater when to stop, and a drawer that no longer closes flush usually has ice on its slides for a reason further back. Working mostly on this side of the kitchen means the likely candidates are checked in the right order, and the part that actually failed is the one replaced.
Why the prices are published
Every repair on this site falls into one of six bands set out in advance, from a door seal to work inside the refrigerant loop. The visit is $89; it buys the diagnosis, and it comes off the repair when you approve the figure. Nothing is ordered on a guess: the figure is named before anything is ordered.

When the answer is replacement
Some units are past it. A cabinet with a failed compressor, a corroded coil and a control board that is no longer made is a replacement conversation, and you will hear that at the first visit rather than after two parts orders.
